“Painting this Name invited me to witness the connection between mind and heart, from the quiet seat of awareness."

– Susan Smith

In meditation before painting, I was shown the Christ Light lifting the mind out of its painful stories—a luminous circle of gold emanating from the center. Knowing this frequency would guide the process, I painted the mind simply as a backdrop for the emergence of Christ's Consciousness. Had it been the other way around, I might have become lost in the mind’s patterns.

I was later commissioned to paint three more works of this Name, each one a unique expression of the soul’s journey from mind into heart. Though the colours followed the same sequence, each painting emerged as a completely distinct map of consciousness. It became a living study in how the mind organises pain, compartmentalises memory, and attempts to hold onto identity and how, through presence and devotion, those structures begin to dissolve into healing.

Peace Begins in the Heart

2024

Acrylic on canvas

Ayin Shin Lamed is a quiet revolution. It reminds us that the state of the world is a reflection of the state of the heart and that lasting peace begins with inner transformation. This Name restores us to our true essence, the part untouched by the mind's stories, and offers the frequency of self-compassion, awakening Christ Consciousness, the divine presence within each of us.
